Hey y'all!

I'm Brianne! I’m a photographer and mom to two incredible little ones, so life is never dull around here! We live on a 16-acre farm in East Tennessee that we’re slowly bringing back to life as a cozy farmstead. And let me tell you, there’s always something to do around here! From keeping up with my kids to caring for our 1,000+ sq ft vegetable garden (and everything in between), it can feel like a juggling act most days, but I wouldn't change a thing!

When I’m not running after my kiddos or getting my hands dirty on our property, I love trying out new hobbies—whether it’s photography, sewing clothes for my children, quilting, gardening, cooking, or anything else that sparks my interest. There’s always something new to dive into, and I can’t wait to share the ups and downs of this journey with you through space.

It’s a wild ride, but I’m loving every minute of it!

My Story

Although I now call East Tennessee my home, I was born and spent most of my life in Connecticut (with a few years spent in New Jersey, Houston, and Boston mixed in there!). When I was 20-years-old, I made the crazy decision to join the Army. It was crazy, because I had spent my teenage years swearing I would never follow in my siblings' footsteps and, if you know me, I bet you can't imagine me in fatigues. But there I was, spending my final semester at the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) in their ROTC program before heading off to Texas to finish my training while I worked on my Master's degree. And although I didn't love most of my time in the military, I am thankful for it, because it led me to Drew!

Fast forward through those 2 years in Texas, Drew and I briefly settled down in Connecticut but dreamed of one day living in Tennessee. Once the pandemic hit, our goal shifted from owning just a little extra land to having enough that we could live off of. When we first toured what would become our new home, what most people would have seen as an old farm riddled with problems, we saw as a home filled with history and land that could be shaped to become exactly what we dreamed of. So, in 2023 we began our farmstead journey!

It's been a slow journey, with new problems arising every few months (a broken fridge here, a dangerous HVAC there, and a busted hot water heater, questionable foundation, and more surprises sprinkled throughout). But, as of 2025, we have a 1,000+ sq ft vegetable garden, a 2,500 sq ft cut flower garden, a dozen chickens, and have goals to add livestock in the next few years.

If the property didn't keep me busy enough, my two kiddos sure do. We have a 3-year-old little girl who has an imagination like no one I've ever met before, and a 1-year-old son who is never without a smile. The only dream I've consistently had throughout my entire life was becoming a mom, and our two little ones have made that reality better than I could have ever imagined.

When I occasionally find free time, I love trying new hobbies (can you tell, I like to keep myself busy?). Photography has been a passion of mine for a decade now, but some other hobbies I enjoy are sewing, gardening, renovating, and cooking.

A few years ago, I began sharing all the things that bring me joy on social media and have somehow made over 319K friends in the process! I am a self-proclaimed scatterbrain though, so I finally decided a blog would be the perfect space to start organizing my passion projects and life updates in one place.

No matter how you ended up here, I am so glad you did and I look forward to sharing all the things that make me happy in hopes that maybe they can bring you some joy too!

Facts

1. I am partially deaf

I woke up one day when I was 23-years-old to find that I could no longer hear correctly in my left ear. The doctors call it Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL) which is a fancy way of saying "we don't really know what happened, but we think it was probably a virus."

2. I am a cat lady

The thing that really interested me in Drew when we first met was his cat. It worked out, because not only did I get a husband, but I also got another cat! We currently have 3 cats and 1 dog, but between the children, chickens, and future livestock, we probably won't add anymore to the mix anytime soon!

3. I love Dollywood

If you've never been, you need to add it to your bucket list! I am a Storyteller Ambassador for the 2025 season, so you can expect to find lots of Dollywood content throughout my social media accounts!
